Misato Hikonari Danchi, expanding the circle of connection centered on “food

Branding proposal for apartment complexes that can be involved in different ways of living.
The Misato-Hikonari housing complex, where I was born and raised, used to be a place where neighbors had strong relationships. However, these days, neighborhood relationships have become so weak that people don't even know each other's faces. As lifestyles become more diverse due to the COVID-19 pandemic and women's participation in society, people's lives have become less connected, and interactions have decreased, which has led to the weakening of neighborhood relationships. Hence, I thought that residents need an opportunity to loosely connect at a pace that suits their own lifestyle. I propose rebranding Misato-Hikonari housing complex as a community that expands the circle of connections, centered around "food," an essential part of life. Through two proposals focusing on the past and future of the housing complex, I aim to explore new possibilities for its development.
